Alexandra Maria Lara was born in Romania and is now an actress from Germany and Romania. Her most well-known movies include Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control. Born as the only daughter of Romanian actor Valentin Platareanu, Alexandra got into showbiz early and landed up playing lead roles in different TV dramas before she reached the age of 16. Her critically acclaimed performance in the television film Der Tunnel paved way for other notable roles including that of Secretary to Adolf Hitler Traudl Junge in the critically and commercially profitable Oscar nominated historical war film Downfall. The Reader, Der Baader Meinhof Komplex and The Reader are also Oscar-nominated movies featuring this beautiful diva. Over the years Alexandra has worked in several noteworthy national and international projects. These include British biographical Control Greek drama film The Dust of Time and French historical miniseries Napoleon among others. She has also been an official juror for the Transylvania International Film Festival as and the Cannes Film Festival.
